Kern Radiology is proud to offer Lung Cancer Screenings with low-dose CT

Lung Cancer CT Screening for Early Detection

No One Deserves Lung Cancer

Lung cancer has a bad reputation. The second most diagnosed cancer in both women and men, lung cancer is also the leading cause of cancer death in the country. Lung cancer accounts for 30 percent of all cancer deaths in America, killing more than 150,000 people a year. A five-year survival rate of less than 16 percent continues to be substantially lower than that seen for other major cancers such as breast, colon and prostate cancer, each at 90 percent or greater.

Where there’s smoke, there could be cancer.

Recent research results have determined that low-dose CT scan is the most accurate method of detecting lung cancer in at-risk patients. Kern Radiology is determined to help bring awareness and accessibility of this testing to all people at high risk by offering low-dose CT lung screening to current and former smokers who have no symptoms of lung cancer. No Medications are given and no needles are used. All you need to do is hold your breath for 10 seconds while the CT is taken.
